• Humboldt Crabs Baseball, Arcata Ball Park, 9th and Main. This semi-pro baseball team, founded in 1945, is the oldest continuously operating collegiate summer baseball team in the country. The season runs June thru August. (707) 826-2333

July 2013

• Ferndale 4th of July Celebration, July 4th, Includes fire truck rides, a parade, and a picnic - starts at 10am, fireworks at 9:30pm,  (707) 786-9515
• Eureka 4th of July Festival, July 4th, This fesitval spans 5 blocks and includes over 100 vendors selling foods, crafts, and other items. There will also be live music on two stages, classic cars, kid activities, and fire trucks. The festival starts at 10am and a fireworks show over the bay will be at 10pm.
• Star Spangled 6th, July 6th, A patriotic Eureka Symphony performance and ice cream social at the historic Fern Cottage, three miles west of Ferndale at 2121 Centerville Road.
